Written by Sharon and her son Leon Thomas in December 2021, Persevere (Another Year) was inpsired by finding a Christmas card from 2019 that had the words 'I hope next year is better for us' written inside. Sadly, we all know what happened next.

The song was written and released just a few days before Christmas last year, when the world was looking just a little bit brighter for 2022, but then Putin's Russia wreaked havoc, changing the lives of the people of Ukraine forever.

Last year 50% of the earnings from our song went to the UNICEF Christmas vaccine donation fund. This year, we have chosen the United 24 Rebuild Ukraine fund. The donation will be made via PayPal on the 6th of January, which is Women's Christmas (Nollaig na mBan) in Ireland.

This song aims to encourage people going through hardship to hang in there. Most especially our friends from Ukraine.
